THE FOUNDER OF SHOTOKAN KARATE AND FATHER OF MODERN DAY KARATE

 

 

Sensei Fred Jones; Black Belt 6th Dan (JSKA)

Sensei Fred Jones was successful in achieving his 5th dan on 5th May 2003, when he had to not only know all 26 Shotokan Kata, but also perform Bunkai, and showed his technical ability in demonstrating how to perform the jump and landing the kick in the Kata Unsu.

Sensei Jones has competed in many Regional and National Championships and has been placed on numerous occasions, including BSK Grand Champion,
held at St Helens in 1993.

He has also taught many competitors to a high level, including a student taking a place at the JKA World Championships in Holland 1996.

Gained 6th Dan (Rokudan) 22nd May 2010
Graded by a pannel headed by Sensei Charles Gidley 8th Dan,
Sensei Marc Leecock 6th Dan, and Sensei Richard Pavsic 5th Dan

 

 

 

 

Sensei Emma Reid; Black Belt 4th Dan (JSKA)

Sensei Emma Reid :- Clubs Secretary and the clubs Female Instructor. Has competed and been placed in both regional and national championships.
